I used windows speech recognition that takes in various grammar rules to control aspects of the computer or get information from a website. It will also return text to speech. Implemented a rule where you say: "what is [dictation]", and it will speak back the first few sentences from the Wikipedia search. One rule that I added allows you to save an event to a SQLite database by saying: "add event for [day of week] at [time]". When you ask "what is today's schedule," and it will show, and speak back the events for the day. Has other commands such as "read selected text" which will speak back the last thing you copied, and "Research" which along with the Wikipedia search also opens google with that search. You can also ask it simple math equations, start programs, and adding items to a list.
